One of my older haori kimono! Unusual black silk jacquard haori kimono has bundles of flowers and branches picked out in gold, silver and red on a ground of tonal geometric shapes and branches. Quarter lining of delicate silk in a colourful display of flowers and bamboo. This kimono is unusually soft and draping with more delicate, fluid silk. Red himi ties. Judging from the silk and lining, plus former owner memory, this kimono is probably from around the 50s. This elegant piece would make a lovely evening jacket!
Size: One size, can be worn tied with the himi or simply open, which adds flexibility (I wear mine open). Please see graphic for how we measure kimono. Basically, this is 46" around, measuring side seam to side seam and doubled.
Condition: Very good with just minor even age tanning on quarter lining.
Care: This was cleaned in Japan and subsequently stored. When it comes time it should be dry cleaned.
My kimono are from Japan and anywhere between 30 and 80 years old.
