Overview: Up for sale is this very neat woodblock print by Gihachiro Okuyama (1907-1981) entitled, "Rice Planting," which depicts three workers planting rice in the fields. Okuyama is well-known print artist from Sagae, Yamagata. He began his career in advertising, but soon shifted over to creating more traditional prints with modern aesthetic sensibilities. He is well known for his black-and-white woodblock prints. This print is matted in its original matting.

Condition: Print is in good condition. Minor waviness. Matting shows quite a bit of purple discoloration/staining.

Measurements: Print measures approximately 9.5 inches high x 4.875 inches wide. Matting measures 10.375 inches high x 7.5 inches wide.
